What a wonderful day!
Today happens to be a festival day for tourist,though I
donｴt know for sure due to lack of my Spanish.
I did take part in a parade as one of four representatives of tourists at the center of big city applauded by
many many locals.Iｴm still unable to understand what has happened to me.
Then I was treated meals and a lot of beer,as I danced with local girls to
local music.I actually danced a whole day.I also had a intervew by a TV company of Peru.
I was asked some questions which I canｴt understand,but I always
answer,ｴMe gusta aquiｴ itｴs OK any time.
Iｴm loaded for the first time in this trip.

I have not seen any Japanese for these 5days.
Iｴm thinking of my future positively.
My long trip is about to finish.

because at this internet cafe in peru Iｴm hearing the familiar song

I canｴt help admiring Japanese culuture.

This time i,m in Arequipa.
Thanks to the advantage of economy of my country,
Iｴm enjoying wonderful meals here.
for example I ate dinner at as many as 7 stands,and each costs less
than 35Yen yesterday.Taste pretty good.
Accomodations also cost little.
tonightｴs hotel costs about 300yen.

I visited Lake Titicaca which lies higher than
the summit of Mt.Fuji yesterday.
The contrast of blue of water and sky and brown of nativesｴ faces were
so impressive.

NOTICE
Kuniaki is a such difficult name to remember for foreigners,that I´m called by some different names,
Poo,Lee,K,Ken,and so on.among these I´ve chosen Ken you see above.

Yesterday I rode a horse for a half day and then
play billiard with a local people.Though i was defeated completely,it was fun.I regard billiard as a way of communication these days,
in Cuzco I´ve made friends with many locals fortunately.Their fluent English,Spanish,and Quechua always make me ashamed of my poor English.
I recommend you to study lunguages when you have time.That´ll possibly make your life much
more enjoyable.

I also met some attractive Japanese travelers,we often discuss about Japan´s future over Cusquena,which is wonderful beer made in Cuzco.
Their opinions are so different from those of my friends of Japan,they stimulate me very much.

I´ll leave here for Puno tonight.

Iｴm staying in a fantastic city 3300m above sea level.Thereｴs less oxygen but more mistery.
Iｴm excited.
This city is reminiscent of India,which I like best.
People are very kind and friendly,I enjoy stuying
Spanish with them.They are different from any people I have met.
Iｴll visit Machu Pichu.Iｴm looking forwad to it very much.
The problems of poverty and inequality makes me
think about what human being is,what I am.
I who is a mere Japanese student can be much richer than most of local people.

Before Peru I visited Costa Rica,which was OK.
I also enjoyed the notorious Harlem in NY.
There I found the true faces of people and hatred.
When I walked on the street of Harlem,something like water dropped just in front of me from above.I looked up to find a face of Black out of the window.He spat ,in fact.
Some black people hate Japanese,somehow.
I couldnｴt understand them finally.

Anyway,Iｴm fine without even mountain sickness.

Yesterday I visited Art Institute of Chicago
to find an exhibition of Prizker Prize,which
includes a model of 'Church of Light'
and there was also a meditation room designed by
Tadao Ando.I was amazed.
I'm a very lucky man
to be familiar with such a great architect.

I'll be in Chicago more three days.

My last summer ,cause I'll be on duty next year,
